Mr. Aaron Nance

Extended Day and Enrichment Program Coordinator

Mr. Nance’s educational journey was inspired by mentoring children who were at-risk youth, marginalized, and come from single-parent homes. To try and change the statistics of our youth, he began working at inner-city daycares, starting with four’s and five’s and eventually graduated to afterschool, which landed him a teacher’s assistant job with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  Mr. Nance believed that a drastic change had to be made for the children in his community and for himself – therefore, he enrolled in college at Minot State University, located in Minot, North Dakota where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Philosophy. After completing his program, he started working on a masters in Management and Leadership from Montreat College. His journey thus far has landed at The John Crosland School.

“Crosland has allowed me to put my knowledge, skills, and experience into practice by redirecting behavior, positively influencing children, and by leading by example.”

In his spare time, Mr. Nance enjoys volunteering at his local library as an English tutor and at the YMCA as a basketball coach.
