Elaine Triantis is the Director of Lower School at The John Crosland School. She graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary / Intermediate Education and Middle Grades Language Arts. She has been an educator for over 19 years. Early in her career, Elaine developed a passion working with students who had learning differences, reading, and literacy challenges. Elaine joined Dore Academy in 2005 and worked to develop the first Kindergarten Program. Focusing on a multisensory approach to reading, Elaine obtained a Certified Level Training in Orton Gillingham. After six years with the kindergarten/first grade program and continued education in the areas of Dyslexia and learning disabilities, Elaine assumed the role of Director of Lower School. This role includes close collaborations with teachers, families, and community partners to help students develop the skills they need to be successful academically and socially.

Elaine is an enthusiastic cook and enjoys gardening as well as spending time with her family and friends. Elaine lives with her husband, Phillip, and her two dogs Pee-Wee and Chloe. Grown children, Alexa and Jonathan, visit often to enjoy a home cooked meal.
