The John Crosland School is located at 5146 Parkway Plaza Blvd. (off Billy Graham Parkway near Charlotte/Douglas International Airport)
The John Crosland School (formerly Dore Academy) recently welcomed 85 students to this new, spacious campus that will allow the school to nearly triple its current enrollment. This new home is due largely to the generosity of prominent Charlotte philanthropist and business leader, John Crosland, Jr., whose $1.1 million gift helped steer the success of the school’s $5.9 million capital campaign. Since opening in 1978, the independent college preparatory school for Grades K-12, has earned a distinction as a national leader in creating academic success for students with learning disabilities. More than 90 percent of graduating seniors go on to attend two- or four-year college programs. The school is dually accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
